64 Muslims were caught eating in public. Penalty for committing offence 6 months jail or RM 1,000 or both.
“The number of those caught is minimal but I believe many more are left undetected eating, smoking and drinking in public places. Many are even seen smoking in supermarkets when they should show their respect to other fellow Muslims who are fasting.”said assistant Minister Datuk Daud Abdul Rahman.
He warned that Muslims in the state were in the minority and if their unity was destroyed that would mean disaster to them
